COVID 19 - GWSMBC Update
To the Members of Greater White Stone Missionary Baptist Church
Great is the Lord and Greatly to be PRAISED:
We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord the Savior. . .
First, I would like to thank you for your continued support prayers and all your concerns during this most critical time in our nation, and our city, of the Nations pandemic, Coronavirus-19. We are taking the advice of our national leadership, who recommends that in order to get a handle on this virus and reduce the rapid spreading, they have suggested that all meetings of 10 or more be cancelled.
We are very much concerned about the well-being of our members and their families. After serious consulting of our leadership team and being in much prayer, we have made the decision to forgo ALL activities, rehearsals, meetings and WORSHIP until further notice.
The church office will close also, however you may call the church office at 901-774-3564 and leave a message or email me directly with your prayer concerns or any emergencies, pastorbrown12@gmail.com. We will monitor this pandemic crisis on a day to day basis.
Thank You GWSMBC, this is the time that we the church community must come together and offer to a dying world, Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world. As Standup believers!!!!, the world is looking to the CHURCH, let us not fail the test!!!!! Let us NOT be the lukewarm church nor the disciples who are weak in their faith lacking the authority given them. Let us not be those without power and faith. Our faith is not in the stock market, our jobs, but we must be prayerful, fasted up, vigilant, watchful, and above all be safe. We must stand in agreement knowing, that this too shall pass Our victory, is Christ victory, the battle has been fought and has already been won on Calvary.
The church our community and the world needs hope, prayer, and allow this time to draw us closer to closer to God and know and practice our faith and know what he has promised to us. Trust in the Lord with all our Heart and lean not to our own understanding, that we must abide in the secret place of the most high God, we shall abide under the shadow of the almighty God he is our refuge and our fortress in him will I trust.
We pray for those who have been diagnosed with the virus, for all of those who are self-quarantined at home, for those families who have had members who have succumb to this virus, your families, for ALL healthcare professionals, Memphis First Responders, our government, and its officials, and every scientist working for a vaccine, for those who must work in the private industry necessary supporting to our communities.
Remember, “Don’t Allow your Fear to conquer your faith”
Be safe, check on family, friends and love ones to assure their safety and yours also.
With much love,
The Reverend Roger Brown, Senior Pastor
